Taylor · New York, NY · Hybrid (minimum of 2 days/week in-office)
The Strategist, Social Media Content & Community Management is a hands-on social specialist who owns the day-to-day voice, content calendar, and community of assigned client brands. This person is a seasoned community manager with a sharp eye for cultural and platform trends, and a content planner who can juggle multiple brand priorities, talent partnerships, and workstreams at once. They partner closely with Creative to turn trends and client goals into native, platform-right content (not just trend replication with a logo slapped on) and they retain and build on client feedback so every new round of work is sharper than the last.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Community Management & Trend Identification
  • Owns the day-to-day voice and community of assigned brands, with a finger on the pulse of culture and social platforms
  • Personally manages 1:1 community moderation, response, and opportunistic social listening across assigned brand profiles
  • Quickly identifies emerging social and cultural trends (e.g., meme culture, clipping) and assesses fit for the brand's voice and audience
  • Creates native content in partnership with Creative's direction — translating a trend into something that feels authentic to the platform and the brand, rather than simply relabeling the trend with a product or logo
  • Leads day-to-day QA, publishing, and trafficking for organic and paid social

Content Calendar Development & Management
  • Builds and manages content calendars that balance multiple brand priorities, talent partnerships, and workstreams
  • Partners with a roster of UGC Creators reviewing asset submissions, providing feedback, and publishing on brand-owned channels
  • Publishes content in real-time from events by monitoring for brand tags, mentions, and collab requests. Publishes content provided by on-the-ground Creators representing the brand at priority and tentpole campaign events
  • Develops always-on organic social content calendars across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, X, and YouTube
  • Collaborates with paid teams on briefings, asset production and selection, and trafficking
  • Balances competing priorities (brand campaigns, talent partnerships, always-on content, and reactive/trend-based content) within a single calendar
  • Provides creative direction on content types and formats, grounded in platform best practices
  • Partners with Account and Creative teams to keep the calendar aligned with client business goals and key moments

Research, Insights & Client Knowledge Retention
  • Turns research and client feedback into insights that compound over time rather than starting from scratch each round
  • Conducts social listening and platform research to inform content and community strategy
  • Retains and organizes detailed client feedback and creative preferences, building on past learnings to sharpen future ideation and assets
  • Synthesizes performance data and client input into actionable insights for the next round of content

Creative Partnership
  • Writes clear, compelling creative briefs rooted in trend and platform insight
  • Partners closely with Creative throughout asset development to ensure content remains on-brief, native to the platform, and true to the brand voice

Communication & Storytelling
  • Communicates in a polished, articulate manner internally and externally, including with clients
  • Explains content and community strategy clearly, setting expectations and responding to questions or concerns
  • Builds strong relationships through responsiveness and open dialogue with Account, Creative, and client teams

Measurement & Optimization
  • Partners with Account teams to deliver quarterly social reports, campaign recaps, ad hoc metrics requests, and other client presentation materials
  • Synthesizes performance results and learnings into insights that inform future content and community strategy

Business Acumen
  • Completes timesheets accurately and in a timely manner
  • Understands scoping and budgeting basics for assigned projects
  • Proactively flags workload or allocation issues to leadership

WHO YOU ARE
  • Respecting What's Right: makes ethical choices and treats others with respect by embracing diversity of backgrounds and thought
  • Entrepreneurial Enthusiasm: takes initiative and doesn't wait to be tapped. Leads from wherever they are and delivers irreplaceable value
  • Committed to Curiosity: open-minded and learns from all sources. Experiments and creates meaning in uncertainty
  • Pride In Partnership: uses empathy to build trusting relationships and ensure effective communication. Is open to others' ideas and viewpoints
  • Inspired Innovation: is imaginative with big dreams and goals. Invents and iterates to shape hearts, minds, and culture for the better

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in social media strategy, content, or community management, with required agency experience personally managing brand social media profiles (not solely overseeing or reporting on social — hands-on ownership of posting, community response, and day-to-day account management)
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining social content calendars across multiple platforms (TikTok, Meta, Pinterest, YouTube, X) for more than one brand priority, talent partnership, or workstream simultaneously
  • A track record of spotting and translating cultural and social trends (e.g., meme culture, clipping) into brand-right content, rather than replicating a trend with a product or logo bolted on
  • Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to retain and apply client feedback, brand guidelines, and creative preferences across projects over time
  • Strong working knowledge of platform best practices, native content formats, and community moderation standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting content recommendations internally and to clients
NOTE: Candidates will be asked to complete a sample content calendar exercise as part of the interview process that balances multiple brand priorities and demonstrates creative direction on content types and platform best practices.
